Katja Pott Art & Books

Katja Pott’s second-hand bookshop in Tauranga is the realisation of a dream she has carried since working at Slightly Bent Books in Melbourne. Originally from Germany, Katja spent more than 20 years living in Alice Springs before settling in New Zealand’s Bay of Plenty, bringing with her a lifelong love of books, art and storytelling. Located in Tauranga’s Historic Village as part of Satellite Studios, the shop reflects Katja’s creative spirit, with shelves of second-hand books alongside her paintings, photography and handmade garments. Expanded in April 2026 with an additional room, it’s a welcoming place to browse, discover unexpected treasures and enjoy the meeting of books and art.
