Discover NZ’s little librariesDiscover New Zealand’s little libraries
Little libraries are dotted around Aotearoa - in front yards, parks, community spaces and neighbourhoods. Take a book, leave a book, and keep the stories moving. From beautifully crafted boxes to simple shelves, each has its own character and offers the chance to discover an unexpected read while connecting books and communities. With more than 1,600 little libraries around New Zealand, keeping track of them all is no small task. The information can change quickly as libraries appear, move or disappear, so the little libraries featured on Between the Covers are a selection rather than a complete directory. A special thank you to Robyn, who has spent countless hours documenting little libraries around the country and keeping her online information as current as possible. For the most up-to-date information and a much more comprehensive collection of little libraries, visit her Little Community Libraries of New Zealand Facebook page. Her work is a wonderful resource for anyone wanting to discover the little libraries in their community.
