Book Launch: Lifted by Mandy Hager

Seventeen-year-old Elora is the last-trained Librarian of the Sanctuary, entrusted with protecting humanity’s remaining knowledge in a world devastated by climate collapse and haunted by a mysterious alien presence. Faced with an impossible choice, she must decide whether to remain in her isolated mountain refuge and risk dying alone, or leave and risk being trapped and Lifted. When a stranger arrives bearing a message that her long-dead father may still be alive, Elora’s carefully ordered world begins to unravel. Forced to question everything she believes, she must weigh her duty to preserve humanity’s knowledge against the possibility of uncovering the truth about her family and the world beyond the Sanctuary. Blending science fiction with a gripping coming-of-age adventure, Lifted explores survival, grief, hope and legacy, asking what it means to be human in a fractured world - and whether one young woman can help shape humanity’s future.
