Bookshop Day 2026 at Poppies Hamilton

Book lovers can celebrate Bookshop Day with a day of giveaways, prizes and plenty of reading-related fun. Throughout the day, customers who spend $25 or more can take part in a lucky dip giveaway, with books, tote bags, pens and other prizes up for grabs while supplies last. One eagle-eyed shopper will also have the chance to win a free 12-month subscription to Libro.fm. The 2026 Bookshop Day tote bag, featuring artwork by the wonderfully talented Coco Solid, will be available to purchase. The popular My Personal Penguin promotion is also back. Customers who purchase any two Penguin books can receive a Personal Penguin figurine. Supplies have been delayed, but the shop will put one aside for eligible customers when they arrive. And keep an eye out for a familiar face in stripes! A Where’s Wally?-style challenge will see a cardboard cutout of the famous striped-jersey wearer hiding somewhere in the shop. Find him and receive a badge to prove it. It’s a day of books, surprises, giveaways and fun for readers of all ages.
