Bookshop Day at Scorpio Books

Scorpio Books is celebrating Bookshop Day 2026 by getting even bigger. Visitors can join the celebrations from 10am to 5pm at the Five Lanes store at 120 Hereford Street, with the day marking the first opportunity to explore the newly expanded bookshop next door. The celebrations will feature spot prizes, giveaways, book-themed dress-ups and the return of Scorpio Books’ popular Loyalty Card Amnesty. Visitors are encouraged to dress as their favourite book character. Anyone arriving in a literary-themed costume can visit the main counter to collect a small treat, while stocks last. A Libro.fm Golden Ticket will also be hidden somewhere among the shelves. The lucky finder will win 12 Libro.fm audiobook credits. The Loyalty Card Amnesty gives customers the chance to bring in expired Scorpio Books loyalty cards and have them treated as valid, subject to terms and conditions. Special-edition Bookshop Day 2026 tote bags, featuring artwork by multidisciplinary artist and author Coco Solid, will also be available to purchase. Families with young readers can continue the bookish fun across the courtyard at Telling Tales, where additional Bookshop Day activities will be taking place. No registration required.
