About this event

Susette Goldsmith, author of 'Capital Trees' is your guide to significant and meaningful trees that have shaped our capital and its arboreal legacy. As part of the wider Wellington Heritage Festival, this 2-hour author-led walking tour guides you through highlights from 'Capital Trees' to trace the living legacies of the city’s rich tree heritage, including arguments around heritage tree listing, the vulnerability of heritage trees, biodiversity, trees as monuments and more. Starts at the Supreme Court and concludes at Te Papa. In the event of bad weather, a presentation covering highlights from the route will take place at Te Papa, and registered attendees will be notified in advance.
