Short Story Day (and Small Party)

Our Creative Writers group is planning to have a Short Story Day. The idea is to write a short story of up to 1800 words and share it with each other to read and for feedback. The stories can be less words than that for sure. To-date I have 3 stories. I would like a minimum of 6 stories and a maximum of 9 stories. Submit your story to me, and I will send out all the stories which I receive to those who wish to take part. When you receive the stories, please read them all of them at your leisure before the Short Story Day. You do not need to write a short story - you can still come. However, please let me know you are coming. I need to have your stories by October 10, 2026, 5.00pm please. We will meet on Saturday the 24th of October 2026 10.00am to 12.00pm at the Ellen Melville Centre (or you can participate on-line, I will send you the link.) We will give positive feedback on our stories and talk about what makes a good story, I will send out some notes on what to look for in a short story soon. We can also have a small party to celebrate being writers. Charles Dickens loved apples, so maybe we can have some apple pie for lunch and something nice to drink! Stuart 027 915 9805.
