Silent Book Club

Silent Book Club is the perfect outing for introverts. There's a bit of book chat, an hour of sustained silent reading at 6pm, then more book chat as we talk about what we've just been reading. There's no set reading at Silent Book Club, bring any book you like or pick one off the library shelves, there's plenty to choose from. Fiction, non-fiction, comic books, or poems, you can read paper books, ebooks, or audiobooks (through headphones). 5:30pm - Come to the back left corner on the ground floor at the Central City Library, there's plenty of seating options for everyone. We talk about books and what we're reading tonight. 6:00pm - Silent reading hour. This is just like the sustained silent reading (SSR) you did at primary school. Open your book and read uninterrupted for an hour. 7:00pm - Chat about what you've just read, share recommendations with others, and talk about your favourite books.
