Books for Kids is a Hamilton East treasure that has been putting brilliant books into young hands since 1970. It all began with two former teachers, both called Anne, and a book-filled van travelling around the Waikato to schools. More than 50 years and several teacher and librarian owners later, the shop is still going strong on Grey Street - and remains the Waikato’s only dedicated children’s bookshop.
