Joanna Ludbrook is a qualified librarian with over 20 years’ experience and a lifelong love of books and learning. After discovering the magic of Featherston as an International Booktown, she followed a long-held dream and opened her own children’s bookshop, especially for primary school-aged readers. Joanna believes in the power of books to inspire curiosity, imagination and a lifelong love of learning. Her carefully chosen collection focuses on environmental awareness, resilience, problem-solving, adventure and discovery, with plenty of opportunities for children and adults to share stories and start conversations together. The shop is designed with children in mind, with cosy reading nooks, displays and treasures to explore. Visitors are encouraged to come in, have a browse and enjoy the wonderful Featherston Booktown atmosphere. Joanna is also happy to offer advice and help schools and pre-schools build their collections within a budget.
